Early literacy builds the foundation for academic achievement.

Davis School District’s Family Literacy Nights help families support children’s reading and learning from the earliest years through elementary school. Families will participate in hands-on activities, learn practical strategies and choose four sessions tailored to their child’s age, grade and learning needs.

Sessions are designed for children ages 0–3, ages 3–5, kindergarten and first grade, and second and third grade. Sessions will be offered in English and Spanish, with interpretation available in additional languages.

🐲What an incredible day at the Doxey Kickball Tournament! 🏆

We had a fantastic turnout with all 4 houses represented by staff, students, and parents. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to play and cheer us on—the energy was amazing!

It was a true underdog story: despite being small in numbers, the Isibindi house fought hard and took home the win! 🥇

Get ready for an adventure-filled summer! ☀️ ​We are thrilled to share the field trip schedule for our upcoming summer camps. ​⚠️ Important Reminder for our Doxey Families: Our summer school program is being hosted at Sunset Elementary this year! Doxey students will be bused over to the Sunset camp site daily, meaning our campers will follow the Sunset schedule: ​🦖 June 26th: We are heading to Eccles Dinosaur Park! 🐠 July 17th: We are heading to the Loveland Aquarium! ​Logistics & Tips: ​🚌 Bus Riders: Students who regularly ride the bus will be picked up at their regular time and taken directly to the Sunset summer camp site. ​⏰ Trip Start: Busses will load at the camp site at 8:30 AM to arrive at their destination at 9:00 AM. ​☀️ Trip End: Students will return to the school between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM. ​🧢 Be Prepared: Please dress your camper accordingly and make sure they wear sunscreen for a fun, safe day! ​Can’t wait to see all the big smiles! ☀️ Behavior: We hold all of our students to high standards! Remember, we enforce a strict 3-strikes policy for summer school attendance and behavior.
